Did I broke my Wildspire Waste Protector Palico Quest?

i jumped on the first cat and it disappeared, i moved on and catched 2 of them and returned to astera. Now i can't find the third cat anymore. Does the quest have to be done in one run?

Just go there again and look some more. Those cats are marked on the map - at least, after talking to field researcher.

I can't talk to field researcher anymore all 3 cats are in the camp at 15 but i cant interact with them and the palico gadget wasn't unlocked
the quest still shows 2/3

no cat is shown as green dot on the map

Something similar happened to me on the ps4 version. I looked for a guide online that showed the locations the cats spawn and managed to get them all. Good luck.

ok i finally found the last cat after searching who area again

it only appears on the map when you are close to the cat

simply leave the area then come back and he should respawn

you can track the quest if you click on doodle progress bar at the map screen. then the fireflys track the cat even while chasing. just make sure not to be too fast and keep a small distance.

I have left the area and even restart the game but still cannot find the cat in all three location.

you have to sneak up on the cat, stop running into the areas and crouch just before you get their

i captured two cats, but the last cat just not spawn on the place that I found it.

It doesn't have to spawn there, it can spawn in other places. Just check your map, it'll be on it

i found mine in the area where the golden beetle spawns, with the flashbugs
it is just random so you have to run through the whole area and check the spawn points

area 6 close to area 2
