reload the gunlance?

What kind of ammo do i need to reload the gunlance because the damn thing aint reloading no matter how many times i smash R or hold R and i must have started the game with 20 different kinds of ammo

the gunlance doesn't need ammo, well more like the ammo is unlimited.
just presst R2 + O or crtl + left click.

how do i use my specialized ammo in the gun lance? is that possible?

i was out doing the first quest hunting jagras and ran out of bullets and couldnt reload

Ctrl + right click, but thanks! You have led me to the command anyway. =)

The button highlights that show up for me don't seem to do anything. Right click doesn't activate shelling or do anything at all - is this a PC mouse n keyboard problem?

Might be your keybindings, but I really suggest you get a controller. Makes quick combat so much easier IMO.
