2. unleash the full spirit combo (Ctrl) (if done correctly a white border will appear around the spirit gauge)
3. hit Ctrl + Rmb, you will charge forward, if it connects you will initiate helm splitter.
4. (Optional) complete the spirit blade combo 3 times to get it to red for maximum damage.
1) when u do that spirit combo it doesn't matter the first few hits miss the target, as long the last strike hit the target, its consider as done and u get a full gauge. So swing away even if u miss, who knows the monster may turn back and u commit ur last hit :)
2) U can shorten the spirit combo from 4 slashes to 3 by doing a fade slash. Eg as u attack, end with a fade slash and u only need 3 hits to trigger spirit combos. Very useful for fast charge up ur gauge.
3) This is advance technique. Try to do foresight slash. Its what I call parry. If u do it successfully, u will hear a "ting" sound and just 1 strike of spirit combo, u have full spirit gauge. This move is awesome, done right u nullified any dmg from monster and u get 1 full spirit gauge. It used to be difficult to pull off due to timing but Capcom released a patch to increase the timing windows to make it easy to execute. Furthermore alot of monsters telepath their moves. If u.master this, u have truely master LS... :)
