Game stuck in windowed mode
My game's stuck in windowed mode, even though the setting is on fullscreen.
It was fine on launch day, but the day after (today) it got stuck on windowed mode.

Same here. No way to change it to fullscreen. Tried swapping to windowed and borderless window in the settings and then going back...no dice.
alt + Enter force window/fullscreen.

Doesn't work...just makes the window slightly larger. Still has the bar at the top.

I fixed it temporarily by using borderless windowed.
Doesn't make it fullscreen, but at least I'm not being distracted by the border now.

Yeah...same. Running lower FPS but I can deal with it till they fix whatever they broke.

Found a fix: Navigate to the install directory (likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter World) and right click on the .exe and go to properties. Go to the compatibility tab and check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"

I'm not actually sure what that does...it may just make it into borderless window or something, but hopefully not.

Actually, here's a better way:

WIndows Settings->gaming->uncheck "show game bar when..."

Fixed it for me even once I switched back the check box on the individual app.

None of these fixes work for me. Where is the "show game bar when..." setting? I don't see it under Settings > Gaming in Windows 10.

As far as I can tell, disable fullscreen optimizations does absolutely nothing.

https://imgur.com/vna67NY That's where it is on mine...don't know if different software may change the options.

Strange, I don't have an option like that there. In any case, thanks for the reply. Hopefully this gets patched. In the meantime, borderless fullscreen will just have to do.
