It's an awesome style. Worked very well until I got to him. Easier to learn their moves. Easier to see it coming. Easier to hit the weak spots all the time.
I'm hoping that helps in the future. I just crafted Anja greaves so that's a start. I can't go beyond rank III weapons yet though.
yeah no worries beyond rank 3 weapons is fine cos they're quite a bit later in the game to get the mats, just get the armor up and ur good to go
Here's a trick to preventing yourself from catching fire: wear enough armour to get at least 5 fire resistance, then eat the veggie platter for Elemental Resistance (L). This should boost you up to 20+ fire resistance, which is the threshold for immunity to fireblight (being set ablaze).

when it comes to fighting, be very very very patience. this game is not your typical hack and slash

Sadly, since you're a bow user I feel no pity for you. Bow people are a source of much aggravation and staggering to melee players.
