How do I use controller?

Genuinly asking. Not here to go, "REEEEEEEEEEE! NO CONTROLLER SUPPORT!" Controller in question is an XBOX ONE controller. I would try KB+M but for a game like World controller is the best choice for me.

right click Steam, click Settings, click Controller, click General Controller Settings. enable whichever controllers you wanna use.

Have the generic one ticked if you're using xinput or a ps3 controller. tick playstation if you're using a ps4 controller only.

Only have one of them ticked.
