Should I install on my SSD?
I've seen how long the load times are on the console version, and I do have a solid state drive, only problem is I only have 23 gigs of open space. It does say it'll only take 20gb of space, but I'm afraid that I might have too little storage later. Is it worth downloading it on my SSD or should I installit on my HDD which has about 80gb free?

the answeris always yes to should i install a a game with load screens for most everything.
You should use your search function.

But to answer it, lots of people are going to do so. There's a thread on the subject, if you want to know more about it, it is easy to find the thread.

Lol i probably will, i just looked it up and it looks like it only takes up 15 gigs of space, which is kind of insane, thought it'd be a lot more.

Yes! The PS4 load times where so awful it's really bad.

Lol I forgot those exist, might actually save for one, my motherboard only had room for one SATA SSD

SSD loads mhw way faster on ps4, i can't imagine how much faster on pc it would be. I would hands down.

yeah i had a PS4 pro with a the default HDD, they got better as they patched the game but some things still take abnormally long.

Loading Astera, the city you will ALWAYS come back to after a mission. takes the longest.

i will be installing it on my M.2 SSD. this sits on a PCI-e rail, so it read writes faster than 6 GB/s which is the upper limit of a sata 6 port.

i doubt load times will be more than a couple seconds compared to what a PS4 pro takes.

lol it does help a great deal. now if only my rig could run SC well enough. i tried the mining stuff with the prospecter, the lag was so bad that day i literally bounced off the planet trying to get close enough to start mining. and trying to adjust the settings was nigh impossible.

its possible some other things were going on bu given the track record of everytime i've tried to load it and goof around on it, its an optimization thing, which i dont expect to be worked on till every planned ship is added and shilled for exorbent amounts of cash. nothing wrong with that but lets be honest here, they've succeeded in making the most expensive crowdfund game ever. xD

Yeah my build can "run" the game.. i have to play on low settings and there's quite a bit of stuttering and framerate drops, but it's not unplayable. I'm pretty patient when it comes to optimization as long as it's playable seeing as I spent the first three years of gaming on a potato laptop that could barely run overwatch at 50% render scale, but it's pretty fun to mess around with. That being said, I still haven't managed to explore a planet without the game crashing.. not that I've tried often since there are some bugs that make it frustrating to even get that far. Still extremely excited for it but I'll stick to Elite Dangerous for my space stuff for now.

ssd makes the games load times almost nonexistant

I'm going to simply because I love Monster Hunter. Be sure to save some space though for the later free DLC.
