Yep, 3 like people alredy said...but theres no need for more than one character at all, aside from multiple people playing on the same acc, or if you want to do the story all over again(wich sadly is not that good). You can use all weapons, and have tons of diferent gearsets on the same character.

Whats the need to create more toons, you can basically use any gear on your toon. Gears are not locked since there are no character class like in mmorpg. The ability to create 3 is just for gender equality political correctness... Male, Female, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Multiple Characters capable doing similar things... And one character is already a timesink... I couldnt fathom having 3 of those or maybe more unless I am too madochists to do so... Excuse my french
