Master's Touch vs True Crit Element
I'm thinking of building a set for Dual Blades but not hit a road block between these 2 set bonuses. Which one do you guys think is better for Dual Blades?

If you're trying to shave off seconds wanting to get good kill times, True Crit Ele. You need Prot Polish to go with that.

If you're struggling to find a chance to even hit the monsters, run out of Mega Potions often, and let them run from area to area in 20minute hunts, Master's Touch is massive quality of life improvement.

true crit element + protective polish is better
up to you if you want to deal with protective polish assuming you even have the deco

For DBs, True Crit is the way to go, it'll give you a huge elemental damage boost; MT really just has you sharpen less

this, if you run the whetfish scale + and protective polish, its Swipe, Ting, kill things! and running true crit ele will get you that extra damage to make it go faster. beyond that running some handicraft to get into purple on certain weapons and otherwise maxing out element and affinity in any way possible (coalesence can be useful here)

but if you'd rather run a build that doesnt take whetfish scale+ and prot polish to make effective, the mentioned crit ele + masters touch set would suffice.

No idea what the specific math is, but the difference in damage doesn't feel that incredible to forsake all quality of life for True Crit Ele 100% affinity build. I'd assume if you've got the fight down pat and you're just gunning for faster speedrun times, go for it, but I don't think it's really worth it otherwise.

Something I'm a bit confused about though, is how the elemental damage is calculated on the monsters. It's based on hitzones, so even if it says Rajang is 3 star weakness to Ice, it only really means the head that is really weak to ice, not the tail or any tenderized body or arms?

Different hitzones have different damage multiplyers. So you only deal max damage on the weakest spot of a monster. But still 3 Star weakness means you deal more damage on all hitzones. So hitting the legs of rajang with an ice weapon will still deal more damage as hitting it with a fire weapon. But the damage numbers are small none the less, cause it's no weak spot.

Ele Crit Modifier from DB is 1.35x
True Ele Crit Modifier from DB is at 1,55x

And yes, certain bodyparts are weaker to elements then other
Rajang as example have a 30 ice weakness at his head, the rest of his body only 15 toward ice

For DB I would go Silverlos + protective polish. DB struggle to hit weakpoints most of the time to take advantage of Masters' Touch.

Why do people always suggest whetfishfin+ all the time? Like people have 100s lying around. I have 20 from the login bonus. I don't know how people can farm them, they are a pain to get.
