Are these "account items" useful?

Hey, just got this "Large Beast Tear", which I never got before, during a hunt. It says is an account item? I obtained 1 or 2 of these items before but i'm wondering are they useful for anything?

Not really, account items are only worth RP's (Research Points) / Zenny. Some can also unlock canteen ingredients but that happens automatically.

Easy research points. others are just for selling, but frankly, money is especially useless unless you fortify every armor you have.

Some of them unlock stuff, I.E capturing endemic life which also counts as an "account item" for the first time unlocks them as a pet, picking up ingredients from forage points unlocks ingredients for the canteen most of the time, but most of them are just bonus items that grant a chuck of free Research Points.

As far as I know you can't check a comprehensive list of them, you can't see how many you've collected anywhere, they're just an additional layer to the gameplay. Large Beast Tear sounds like it came from Rajang, a Beast type monster, so he has his own account and trade-in items specific to him (Magnificient Pelts and Beast Tears instead of Scales and Wyvern Tears, etc)
