Giant Augurfly Bounty
Now, I know the basics: It has to be from Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, Rotten Vale or Elders Recess, at night during foul weather.
But I've been on this bounty for about a week now with no success. I eat for Zoomaster every time and while I know macrozoologist would help, if I understand things right, that foodbuff is totally random.

Does the giant fly spawn in one specific location in each area when the conditions are right or is it really totally random?

My way of success:

Nighttime in Rotten Vale, acid rain helps but is not necessary. Eat for Zoomaster, go to the lower camp. From there, run to the cave with the local felyne tribe (crouch left from entrance to Odogaron cave). Above the little basin, where the fishmaster sometimes is, are three possible spawnpoints for augurflies.

Then hop outside in the bigger area as if you would go back to the camp. A bit to the right from the ledge where two normal flies are is the fourth augurfly spawn, above the bigger acid lake.

I did that for 30 minutes, got about 1-2 augur per run and finally the big one. Quick and easy, each run is barely a minute.

imo that was easier than the fish and bird one they had you do
As well as the other trophy ones

Just keep spawning in vale and wildspire
i think I found mine in the vale while catching petricanths because zoomaster seems to work better for old rare endemic life

+1 for Rotten Vale. I got mine by the acid pool near the bottom camp.

yeah just got mine in rotten vale too, near the upper camp in the crawl space cave, where moss pig spawns near honey and petricanth in the lake-- where the grimalkynes are. i was actually farming for bristly crake, so it was totally unexpected i was just casually grabbing augurflies.

dapper coralbird took me about 6-7 hours so i had to compensate^^ i was really afraid about the augurfly.

for dapper
If you re master rank 100 AT namielle event actually has great chance for dapper(night) and blue diva (dusk/dawn).

blue diva in the crawl space behind namielle spot actually has 2 spawn spots. 1 right nearby as you enter, and another a level below(vine) on a cliff close to the coralbirds. both are very easy catches, and her song is very audible there

also there another spawn point for blue diva very near to upper camp.
definitely coral is the best place for blue divas imo, didnt have any luck in ancient forest or wildspire, and i got 6 divas and a dozen dappers all from AT namielle event while doing runs for gold crown dapper. (i didnt kill namielle i was just running for the pets from dusk till dawn, namielle is a peaceful dragon)
also i saw downy crakes on the large flying thingies
