Is there a jewel for Effluvial Expert?
Seriously tired of taking tick damage in the Rotten Vale part of TGL. Why isn't there a drink or something to negate it like there is for everywhere else?

Effluvial Resistance and Effluvial Expert are separate skills.
I got so confused man, you're right. Miasma Jewels / Effluvium Resistance only effects the effluvium build up that cuts your health in half...Effluvium Expert isn't JUST for acid, it's also for miasma. Damn, I don't know why that slipped my mind lol. I automatically assumed that Effluvium Resist automatically blocked the miasma because I've never really paid it any attention.

Yeah though Effluvium Expert only exists on certain Girros armour pieces (the ♥♥♥♥, I believe) as well as the Clearmind Charm...as far as I know. There's definitely not a decoration for it, which completely sucks considering they finally added a Heat Guard (Cooling Jewel) decoration with Iceborne. Damn them!

Yup, you are correct. Fireproof gives you Heat Guard and Iceproof gives you Coldproof.
Whew, glad I wasn't talking out myass then, lol. I just know I've often chucked on a Fireproof Mantle when fighting stuff like Teostra in the Recess without needing to chug a Cool Drink, and threw on an Iceproof Mantle while fighting Velkhana in Hoarfrost without having to chug a Hot Drink, but I never considered testing it with other mantles. It's good to have solid confirmation of info on it though, thanks!

like others have said just have a mantle combo with close to 100% up time.

my go to pair is glider and immunity mantle.

any mantle stops you from taking the area tick damage of rotten vale

yeaaa.... then perma mantle, or health booster, or eating astera jerky are probably your main solutions.

Guess I'm dusting off that Glider Mantle, then. *sigh*

You can use the Hornetaur Chest if you don't wanna use mantles. Or the Girros ♥♥♥♥ if you need your chest piece. If you need both, uh... have fun wearing capes lol

Glider Mantle+ is by far the best Iceborne mantle, because it's got an uptime that is longer than its downtime, and it gets a whopping 2 level 4 gem slots. Paired with Iceproof / Fireproof / Thunderproof / Waterproof / Bandit mantles, as long as you have a single point of Tool Expert (can be on the glider mantle) then you have >97% mantle uptime. That makes you immune to the normal miasma of the Vale (not Vaal Hazak's white miasma) and means you have 2 extra level 2 deco slots to play with or better at any given time.

You could even pair it with a full Shara Ishvalda set to basically have a permanent Rocksteady Mantle, although that means you can't take another set bonus and it is somewhat lacking in deco slots to fit all the other important stuff in.

Yup, you are correct. Fireproof gives you Heat Guard and Iceproof gives you Coldproof. Immunity doesn't stop anything but the application and effect of status ailments, so while it won't stop you from taking effluvium damage, it will stop effluvium infested monsters from randomly giving you the HP debuff.

Immunity Mantle does stop effluvium damage.

Just use a HH that negates environment dmg ?

oh yeah that was dumb, I should have said it doesn't /specifically/ stop effluvium tick damage, the fact that it's a mantle does.

I run assassin and glider, somehow the numbers say it should be 100% uptime, but it isn't every now and again.

Those mantles should keep the tick damage off of you, but when you have assassins on, don't hit the stupid vespoid... for some reason even when they're trying to Hurt you the game doesn't consider them hostile. Nonsense man...

The Clearmind charm has both Heat guard and Effluvium expert.

yup, there's no Effluvial Expert deco but Hunting Horn has a melody called Envir. Damage Negated which does the same thing.
