Is there a jewel for Effluvial Expert?
Seriously tired of taking tick damage in the Rotten Vale part of TGL. Why isn't there a drink or something to negate it like there is for everywhere else?

Miasma Jewel, and Miasma Jewel+ I think is what you're looking for.

You can also use Torchpods to burn away a large section of the miasma to give yourself some breathing room, or wear any mantle, which functions like a very stylish gas mask. Bear in mind the torchpod has to impact the floor or a surface, so it creates a small flame. Hitting monsters, your friends or endemic life etc doesn't work.

WAIT. You might mean the acid, right? There's abilities for it but no decoration, sadly. It also doesn't completely nullify acid anyway, from what I understand? I've hardly ever used it.

WAIT. There's no acid in the Guiding Lands. Disregard that above, I'm temporarily afflicted with the mentally impoverished status. No nullberry will fix that, sadly!

You could also simply try consuming some astera jerky. It automatically recovers any missing red health, and doubles your health regeneration - combined with the Recovery Speed skill you'll probably outheal the damage the miasma does.

No, there's no decoration for the skill that the girros belt gives.
there is a charm is base
and the deco and charm help to counter it
one help the tick damage and the other help the blight build up

if you hate it that much..... health augment weapon or bring health booster. Or bring astera jerky and when you get too much red health from walking around in miasma, get free max hp again.

Since it's pretty easy (and actually "meta") to get better than 99% mantle uptime, and since mantles block the effect entirely, just do that.

Glider Mantle+ paired with one of the elemental mantles+ (except dragon) or the bandit mantle+ as your second. As long as the Glider Mantle has one of its 4-slot decos giving a level of Tool Specialist you've got ~10 seconds of downtime every 3 minutes. You could go for 2 levels of Tool Specialist and negate it entirely, but it probably isn't worth it.

he's not talking about the effluvium status effect, he's talking about the passive tick around the lower end of the rotten vale.

You could always build for Resentment when you go down there I guess.

Nope, but the Hornetaur Mail β+ has Effluvial Expert, with very good decoration slots. If your build doesn't require a specific chest piece, I'd give that a shot.

The passive tick is removed when a mantle is equipped so perma mantles is the way to go. Don't know what you're trying to disprove here.

Effluvial Resistance and Effluvial Expert are separate skills. I didn't know about the Torch Pod thing, that is really helpful, but I wish there was a more permanent solution that didn't require me to replace a whole dang armor piece.

I can't build the Health Augment yet, and walking around with a lot of red health is pretty dangerous.

Huh. I thought only the Fireproof Mantle stopped effluvium damage. Learn something new every day I guess lol

Can't really say this with certainty but I think the Fireproof Mantle is the only mantle to grant immunity to heat damage, and the Iceproof Mantle the only one that grants immunity to the cold stamina damage, etc. I'm not sure any other mantles provide immunity to heat / cold except those ones, though. Maybe the aptly named Immunity mantle also does, but I don't think I've ever wore that mantle ever to test, lol.

yeaaa.... then perma mantle, or health booster, or eating astera jerky are probably your main solutions.

Yup, you are correct. Fireproof gives you Heat Guard and Iceproof gives you Coldproof. Immunity doesn't stop anything but the application and effect of status ailments, so while it won't stop you from taking effluvium damage, it will stop effluvium infested monsters from randomly giving you the HP debuff.
