One shot builds.
Im seeing more and more videos online of people with one hit Ko builds. Doesn't seem to matter what they're fighting or what with, they're putting out four digit crits.

Can anyone explain to me how this is possible? What perks could possibly be responsible for that kind of damage? Is it because of PC mods? What am I missing here?

thats low rank so it only has like 2k HP, and all those builds are not for normal quests.

How does that take away from the damage? You have something hitting over 2k in one shot? And what do you mean 'normal quests', builds are builds my friend.

all the damage is shown in the video. stack all the attack boosts to get to the raw damage cap, wear assassins hood for the 1 crit and 1.5X damage on para or 1.1X damage on sleep with doubled sleep damage and a high motion value attack. but what i mean by its not for normal hunts are you going to start a hunt feint twice for fortify, get to no HP for heroics, sleep the monster somehow, wear the assassins hood for a single hit then wait in camp till the hood comes off CD?

Considering I have a SA build that has over 800 sleep on it, its not far out of the realm of possibilities. But that's what I'm talking about, just because it doesn't seem like a lucritave strategy or playstyle for you doesn't make it any less viable. Would I do it for every hunt? No, but for higher level monsters that I am stuck soloing, it may be advantageous.

if your stuck soloing a hard monster, most end game monsters have over 20k HP. so you'd need 10 sleeps to kill it, and considering the amount of sleep damage you need to get a sleep goes higher each sleep you'd never get 10 sleeps unless you used true crit status with a bowgun that uses both sleep 1 and 2 and get all crits then you wouldn't have a weapons with the the damage to make use of the sleep. and if its a high level monster your having trouble with you i doubt you'd be able to kill it with the single feint left after getting fortify and sitting on low HP to get heroics boost.

in the end it depends on your skill to run heroics, some speedrunners use it, but it is hard as ♥♥♥♥ one mistake and you can restart.

Not really, the sleep strat can be laced in with other high damage and knock down combos like flinch shots and mounts. Ultimately I probably wouldn't focus the strategy per say, but still doing a 1000+ on ever wake up would be nice. P.S. 8 naps is my personal record, and it was only because it died before I could do any more, and while I was not doing 2k from a high motion attack, throwing a couple mega bombs on the wall and flinching them into it does a pretty good job too.

Bear in mind, Ive seen the 80 sleep palico spaceship knock a temp Ruiner multiple times in the same hunt, let alone 800+.

It's interesting to see the truest differences in the attacks. While every condition is optimal for this, you can see just how much stronger an attack is over others. Just seeing that TCS hit for over 6k and I think I maybe only saw one other hit over 4k, it really shows just how strong some of these move sets are.

Hell, I hadn't even realized you could stack damage that high and smite monsters in the face like a god.

its all about the quest variables and build and buff variables.

but if you got someone say, 1 shotting ancient leshen, they cheated.

1 shot anything that is low rank? probably in MR gear with lots of buffs and variables to make it possible.
