Weapons balance is a disaster.
90% of the hunts contains at least one (in decreasing frequency order) sticky LBG/HBG, spread HBG, infinite mantle SAx. and we know damn well why the ratios are so high, the cheese.

Damn, some people really can't kill monsters w/o using cheese tactics huh.

I do believe some of you use those tactics to help others finish the hunt (that's just to make you feel better lol) but honestly they can't learn much with the constant stun locks, while solo is a bit brutal for most casual players.

Just play alone or w/ people you know who won't cheese? Hell, that's why I like the guiding lands so much where I can just remove people and have no remorse whatsoever.

Weapons balance is a disaster. Did they not learn from base game glutton or its okay to have brain dead weapons? Oh maybe include a one-shot weapon because we need to respect other's play style? REPECTT PLAYSTYLEESSSSSS

edit. i mostly blame capcom, and anything just said is just a consequence of that.

The type of weapon balance that I hate are the Kulve and Safi type that make pretty much everything else obsolete.

Thats also true. I believe people are way too focus'd on the meta, but then its just a consequence of the bad weapons stat designs.

all I see is perfectly viable playstyles and you just don't respect them

this wouldn't be an issue for you if you have friends though

Saw one yesterday.. And the day before that.. And the day before that one... And the day before that one... And th- wait, no, I didn't see one last Friday, on THURSDAY though I saw one.

I'm not complaining though, when online people will use what they want, more power to em' as long as they are not actively trying to ♥♥♥♥ up the hunt.

That said, OP is not wrong. Compared to all the other playstyles in the game? The Zinogre HBG and Sticky Cheese is brain-dead stupid and everyone knows it.

I've pretty much stopped doing SOS for high level hunts because there's guaranteed to be a sticky somewhere. The few times in IB I had people in my session join my quests, it was literally full teams of sticky HBG/LBG and Loyal Thunder. I don't care much about the balance of these things, but they just straight up make the game less fun for me and I'm pretty surprised at how many people run sticky.

Also doesn't help sticky players never use CC, and I usually end up being the only one actually softening in those hunts as glaive.

I would suggest buy out Capcom and force them to rebalance weapons.
Ranged people might as well download a 1 shot mod and save the 2 minutes they would have spent hitting a completely motionless target. You're actively avoiding playing the game anyway.

Well if they get a stun off then that's a CC :P if you mean tenderizing then that's like debuffing, it's pretty much "Sunder Armor".

99% contains a Longsword... because it's easy mode.

it is a disaster. Good luck fighting kush with dual blades though. That’s why people even do this. It’s because some monsters are just annoying fights and you don’t want to cart and lose rewards. Not even hard btw, just annoying. Savage deviljho with the huge hitbox except hurr durr you can only hit my feet that fly across the map every time i jump in multiplayer. Kirin with the good old kirin ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Gold and silver with the constant air pressure and flying and fireball spam. Kush with the moving invisible tornadoes that hit you from nowhere and trap you in corners and his wind aura ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There’s a threshold where some people, rightfully so, don’t want to deal with these anymore and so they switch to bow, hbg or lbg. Lbg and bow are somewhat toned down as bow is harder to play than the other two and atleast lbg requires dodging still. Hbg is absolutely broken though. And then you get so called hbg mains talking about how easy the game is. As much as I enjoy hbg, it’s the most brainless, simple weapon to play mainly sticky / cluster playstyle. But spread is pretty broken too.

Real Hunters play for the fashion.
Safi will ruin a lot of the older builds and everyone will be pretty much homogeneous.
Transmog is also something that I dislike because it's like modern World of Warcraft, where everyone seems overpowered by looks. Looking back at MH first and second gen, armor had a meaning, but not anymore.

Would gladly run with SnS if it deal 2x more damage or at least 1.5x, in another case I'll stick to my Crimson Kadachi
