Armor Sphere Farming

So I have absolutely burned through my stockpile of armor spheres while master rank sets. I easily must have had a thousand or more hard armor spheres and a handful of heavy spheres. My question, is there an active way to farm some spheres besides bounties and steamworks? Or are those the best options currently?

I think the Steamworks gives them, and there's an event quest up right now that should give armor spheres but those have traditionally been trash, so maybe not.

Certain events are probably the best way to farm it, i'd imagine it wouldn't be bad to mine them either, although it'd be incredibly tedious.

typically bounties see enough lol. But I don't really make multiple sets because most monsters annoy me the same way.

You can only mine them from rare spots right? The spots where you can randomly be dropped off at the beginning of a quest?
