Missing Volcanic Region BUG FIX

WARNING: I will not be responsible for any damage or harm that may cause to your PC / SaveData. Do this at your own risk. ALSO make sure you BACKUP your saveFile before you proceed.

This is a solution for people who suffer from the missing volcanic region bug. The bug that Volcanic region refuse to open after special assignment "Reveal Thyself, Destroyer" was completed.

Apparently, this bug is caused by missing cutscenes / cutscenes refuse to load / cutscenes that were stopped by mod (e.g. older version of Stracker's Loader). So a simple solution is to re-do the Rajang quest and finger crossed that the cutscenes are willing to load.

Instructions:

1. Download and install Cheat Engine version 7.0 or above:
https://www.cheatengine.org/

2. Download Cheat Script for Monster Hunter World written by Marcus101RR. All credit goes to Marcus101RR.

You'll need version 1.1.4 uploaded on 21 Feb 2020
UNZIP IT

3. Open up Monster Hunter World, load your character and go into Seliana.

4. Open Cheat Engine. It will ask "Should you allow it to modify your computer" select YES.

5. Attach the Cheat Engine to Monster Hunter World:
5.1 At the cheat engine, top left corner, you'll see a monitor looking icon flashes between green and red, click it.
5.2 A new menu will open titled "Process List", select Monster Hunter World(404549), then press Open.

6. Load the Cheat Script:
6.1 Next to the Monitor Icon, there is icon with a folder and up green arrow, click it.
6.2 select the UNZIPPED script you downloaded at step 2.
6.3 A new menu appear "Execut this lua script?", select Yes.

7. The Cheat Engine will will now have 4 checkboxes, click on the checkbox beside Marcus101RR's script.

8. Click on the checkbox "Force Selected Quest"

9. Right underneath Force Selected Quest a new line should appear. At that line, double click on the "-1"

10. A new menu will appear, title "Change Value. Underneath, change Value to: 51601 (Just type 51601 into the white bit) and press OK.
This will forces any quest you were about to open to become the special assignment "Reveal Thyself, Destroyer".

11. Switch back to Monster Hunter World, go to the quest counter (Handler, Quest board, or Guild lady, doesn't matter). Open up any optional quest, and departure.

12. You should now be in the Rajang quest. After watching the cutscenes, defeated Rajang, Volcanic Region "should be" Unlocked.

After that, just save, closed everything. Should it failed or corrupted your savefile, just load your backup and try again.

Thank you for your advice , I solve it .

In the quest "Reveal Thyself, Destroyer" , after watching the cutscenes , Vocanic Region is unlocked . Because I defeated Rajang before .

Hey! Maybe you can help. Im having trouble with this, each time i start cheat engine it closes the game after about 1 - 3 minutes, furthest ive gotten is almost 2nd cutscene before crash.

Dont use cheat engine then.

you better ask your stuff on the nexus forum
steam mod can become salty when it comes to cheat engine
have you missed the strackers loader, which may cause crashes, if some scripts rely on it?

ce is a good way to break your savegame beyond fixing, if you have no clue what you are doing.
