Hammer and crit draw
This is just a guess but can you do this with hammer and crit draw skill?

1. Draw into the charge move
2. Power up the hammer and start the charge again
3. Still have "crit draw" enabled even though you have already done an action after the initial draw

I'm guessing it doesn't work this way correct?

So do people do a normal super pound/spin to win golf swing and then power their hammer up while they have crit draw on a hammer, or do people not even bother with crit draw on hammer now because of the power up hammer function?

Just curious.

I think that doesn't work anymore...
In older monster hunters... "art of unsheathing" used to do exactly what you want... but there was no second charge in the other game.

So you cant even draw into a crit on hammer? What's the point then?

I think you still can, but in the old monster hunters, going into a crit charge 3 power swing made every hit and the golf swing all crit.

I don't think that works anymore... or I'd be riding mountains and doing full crit screw attacks with no abandon.

Okay, still kinda doesn't answer the main question I guess though. Still wanna know if crit draw carries over after you power up your hammer or if powering up the hammer erases the "crit draw" skill buff when you draw into a charge.

"UPDATE: it does not. Crit Draw is not viable for hammer. The affinity boost is for the first hit of a charge attack only, and storing your charge cancels the affinity boost to boot."

Thanks. Figured as much.

Crit Draw is a waste of skill on hammer anyway. You are much better off with:

Critical Eye Lv7 (40%)
Weakness Exploit Lv3 (50% on wounded weak point, usually the head)
10% Affinity on Weapon (Weapon augments if needed)

To achieve the 100% Crit on every hits.
