In older monster hunters... "art of unsheathing" used to do exactly what you want... but there was no second charge in the other game.
I don't think that works anymore... or I'd be riding mountains and doing full crit screw attacks with no abandon.
Okay, still kinda doesn't answer the main question I guess though. Still wanna know if crit draw carries over after you power up your hammer or if powering up the hammer erases the "crit draw" skill buff when you draw into a charge.
"UPDATE: it does not. Crit Draw is not viable for hammer. The affinity boost is for the first hit of a charge attack only, and storing your charge cancels the affinity boost to boot."
Critical Eye Lv7 (40%)
Weakness Exploit Lv3 (50% on wounded weak point, usually the head)
10% Affinity on Weapon (Weapon augments if needed)
To achieve the 100% Crit on every hits.
