By Our Powers Combined quest bugged

How to fix a problem when I completed that quest but then my game crashed and I didn't get the tailrider signal reward? Now the game says I've already completed the quest and won't let me redo it saying "You cannot repeat this quest."

Are you sure you haven't got the signal? Checked the palico gear already? I've a had a problem there, but got the item and the riding skill.

Yes, I'm sure. Resource center tells me that progress on that quest is 0/1 but quest board says that I have already completed it. I also went on an expedition to see if I had the signal or wulg rider skills but I didn't have either

Damn. Do you have any recent backup to revert to where you didn't do it yet? If not, I'm sure there's some stuff with modding/borderline cheating to tell the game you unlocked that quest.

Already tried if recovering save file from Steams cloud would help but it didn't help. It was already written over with this "corrupted" save file.

Well, then you SOL. All I could think is perhaps a mod or cheat engine code to flag the quest as not done in this case.

Yeah, I feared so. I meant more like a manual backup because cloud-saving happens too frequently.
Wish I knew how to help you with your current problem, but I'd suggest to manually save your files somewhere on your PC in the future. I do it like once a week because I'm paranoid of losing my safe.

From now on I will do that for sure but I'd need to fix this problem before continuing to play this game.

have you tried re-talking to the boas?

That was it! I had to use ghillie mantle to sneak past hostile boaboas to be able to hook on a wind drake and use it to fly to boaboas hideout. There I had to talk to the leader and it gave me the reward. Geez.
