Windproof skill vs Kushala

I tried some build with Windproof 5 to do the tempered MR Kushala, but shouldn't it negate ANY type of wind as per description?
Instead Kushala didn't give a f-rog and most of the times I couldn't get near it or jump on it, the wind kept pushing me away.
What's that...?

You'll want the Kushala set bonus. Windproof is worthless for him. Dunno why but that's how it is.

kush has a regualar wind and a stronger version of wind. windproof simpy doesnt work. have fun

Xeno HH gives windproof that negates kushalas wind(there is at least 1 more on MR).
Other then that, only rocksteady mantly and kushalas armor can do it.

Use elder seal, it makes it so the black wind never comes up.

Wind Negate is what you need. Either from a HH song or Kush set bonus

From what I heard you need both Windproof LV 5 and Flinch Free LV3 or the kush set bonus to negate his wind. But I have not tested it myself so I do not know for sure.

MR kushala is one of thoes monsters I think it's better to have specific weapons on to make the hunt easier, Like HBG sticks R us style and just go easy mode.

You need the skill called: "All Wind Pressure Negated".
Found only in Kushala's set bonus and Hunting Horn's song with the same name.

Windproof 5 is useful for Lunastra's Supernova.

what you need : kushala armor set + high elder seal weapon,, fighting kushala with 2 of those on your side will make everything easier

kusha's highest tier of wind requires his armors wind proof. i know, silly but thats how it works.

it would be nice if his armors set bonus was a 2 piece instead of a 3.

It is. The value of 5 level 2 decos to max wind resistance and it doesn't even work the only time it would be useful. There's also nothing to let you know it works this way, you don't find out until you try to hunt it without windproof. Kushala is just all around awful and I really don't think anyone enjoys his fight or uses any of his gear. Game would be no different without it entirely.
