The tofu pendant is talking?

So I keep on hearing some Japanese sound randomly in my game saying "ikokka" or something. And I blame it to my friends because I thought they're watching anime, but when I play solo, I can still hear it. Does the tofu really talking in this game?

Yes its the tofu pendant, you get access to it by beating the Resident evil mission in MR.

Tofu speaks in a high pitched Japanese voice, no clue what it says. It did this in Resident Evil 2, and the Resident Evil 2 remake, in which he appears as a bonus character.

As a reference / neat tie-in to the Resident Evil collab, when you equip the pendant and sheathe / unsheathe your weapon, he'll say a little quote from the main game he appears in, etc. It's normal, just a fun little gimmick.

Only you can hear it, by the way. Your team mates hear nothing other than the sound of your equipment rustling, etc.
