Multiplayer and different copies (hard and digital copy)?
If I buy a digital copy of "Monster Hunder World" and my friend has a hard copy, will we be able to play together? How does the hard copy work - do you also have to play through Steam?

what do you mean by hard copy? I'm pretty sure that even if you buy a physical copy of MHW you'll still need steam to play, but that information is probably on the box

A copy is a copy. As long as you're on the same platform, you can play together. So, just don't get a ps4 copy when your friend has it on steam for example.

Yeah, by hard copy (I thought that's how it's called sometimes? :D) I meant physical copy. Okay, so different copies shouldn't be a problem. I just wanted to be sure :)

They still make discs for games? thought that thing died years ago

If there's any physical copy of the game, it's a steam key/installer on a disc.

Lmao I was just thinking that. The look on my friends face when he got FO76 collectors and all it had was a slip...Priceless...He got it late, and needed to download it any way lmao. Got the cool helm though.

I wonder why this question was brought up. Has this happened to another game before?

No, digitals are always cheaper than a physical copy.

Don't know if it ever happened, I have no experience with this, so that's why I asked :)

Thanks for you replies guys.

maybe from greymarket sides, but steam compared to physical copies behaves different.
you can often get cheap deals at walmart or other hard disk sellers, you can also buy a second hand version for less money.
It depends on coupons and sale times.
