if you went the sticky route it might be not be as great but you could go with the brachy LBG. most of the decent sticky guns arent until you reach the guiding lands like the garuga LBG or the Zorah HBG.
Kadachi one for pierce.
Assuming MR.
Keep it classy, discussion board.
it'd be like if he came here and asked nike or addidas which shoe is better for walking 30 miles to the store. i'd be inhuman to not say, "you could use uber or lyft to get the job done faster for roughly the same price."
Zorah is better for explosives, runner-up is rajang but it has stickies on auto-reload.
Spread is better, loyal thunder is the go-to of course. When Stygian becomes available, you can use that if you prefer the different special ammo, wyvern snipe, in particular it's faster clutch attack. Similar damage output.
Safi guns outclass pierce and spread once available. Explosives didn't get an upgrade.
And don't sleep on normal, it certainly isn't bad and performs much better than spread with an hp augment because you actually recover at a reasonable rate. Also a lot less cancerous to use with the special scope which is basically mandatory for big damage (sadly). Well, not that loyal thunder really needs it to be really powerful, a shield loadout is more comfy. I think ruiner nerg is the go-to for normal and again, Safi outclasses that.
There's no reason not to expand on the topic even though the OP didn't directly ask for it.
this, why should he waste mats on inferior guns.
if you want pierce go kadachi, this should be craftable pretty early.
pierce is also pretty relaxed to play, especially in multiplayer.
loyal thunder destroys stuff solo, but in mp you waste lots of time chasing the monster to get a shot off, prefer sticky in mp (or pierce if your really lazy).
Baleful Night is a good early near end-game option, but if you're going for Baleful Night, Crimson Kadachi II is a better choice. You can craft it earlier and easier as well. They do about the same damage with Baleful Night being slightly superior, but Crimson Kadachi II can be augmented much further to max out and come out on top.
idk, maybe he wants to play the game? :)
