No Special Assignment for Rajang

Already spoke to the admiral and he told me to accept the "Sterling Pride" Quest, but "Special Assignment" option is grayed out in Quest Menu.

I can't join other people who post the same quest because "I havent progressed further enough into the story" or something.

I am MR200+ and completed the main assignments long ago, done plenty of Guiding Lands, and updated to the latest version (Even verified file integrity)

any mods active? if yes disable them all.

once you spoke to the admiral if he has no purple marker above his head anymore you should find a quest to kill a kirin under special assignments. that starts the goku questline and unlocks the volcanic region in gl.

Admiral no longer have the indicator, and both the Admiral and the Handler are referencing the quest, but the "Special Assignments" option is grayed out (Not selectable)

Have you tried killing the admiral and taking his place so you can give the quest to yourself.

are you online in steam and game aswell? only thing left i can think off. otherwise you might have to do a full reinstall sadly. as this seems like a real oddball bug otherwise. especially if there was nothing changed on your files via mods either.

maybe the update didnt correctly install itself on your drive when you downloaded it.

Sadly, I already tried reinstalling, verifying, reinstalling all the dlc, doing multiple hunts, re-fighting the last boss, leveling the guiding lands...etc.

I did crash shortly after accepting the quest from the admiral, and I think the game didnt save my progress before the crashed.

So maybe the game thinks I already accepted the quest, but the game didnt actually "Gave" the quest to me.

Wish I could lol, I already fought a Rajang from my friend's investigations. But because I can't do the special assignment, the Volcanic Region & all the other upgradable materials obtainable from there are blocked from me.

Can't even join in other guiding lands who had the Volcanic Region unlocked (Which at this point is the vast majority)

use the closest savefile backup you have then. best choice to get it fixed quickly. and yeah. that crash is probaly the reason for the issue then. you didnt mention that before.

I have same problem, did you solve it already? I have a question, did you change your character appearance?

Nope, not yet solve.. Had to remake a whole new character and start from zero..

Now after Safi update, I cant load past the character select screen :(

that screams mod related. otherwise more people would face this issue.
