Why is tempered azure rathalos harder than tempered velkhana?
Makes no sense that fireblast, not even a ball one shots me with more fire resistance than taking a full on velkhana blast with only 2 ice resistance...

Velkhana was a fun fight though! That rathalos though...I hate him, always have. Flys too much and now has that extra HP to boot xD.

Depends. As GS dude I love all the raths except the metals xD. But hate velk. Velk just moves far to much. While the raths at least stay stationary sometimes.

Head hitboxes are everything for me. Velks to small and is higher while flying gotta use dat damn ice wall. It's hard to hit it out of the air. While a well timed and done tcs can whack non metal raths out of the air.

Both have the truck attack I hate so much tho.

Depends on what weapon you play really, some people will think the opposite, and will have more issues vs tempered velkhana and chew tempered rath

The irony of it was. We did a tempered silver rathalos with less issues than an azure. I wonder if the azure's fire just hits much harder than velkhana's breath does or silver's fireball. I didn't get one shot by either O.o. I was playing hammer btw.

velk is more harder because you cant block any of its ice beams unless you have guard up

I use a hammer. I just dodge them =P.

I use IG when fighting both of them and still thinking Azure gives me more trouble, probably because his constant screaming and his claw grab bs who sometimes caught me even tho i am on airborne..

If you are using a shield why wouldn't you have guard up....

Its trivially easy and fast fight - if you use correct weapon.

Well yeah, bow guns make anything easy. I never said the fight in general was hard, I said why is azure rathalos harder than a tempered elder? Hits harder, flys more, much more agile, fireballs hurt more. Not even silver rathalos tempered hit harder, which is odd! Both fights were thrilling, but azure isn't a fun fight and never has been (For me)

I just fought Tempered Azure Rath and he feels easier than Tempered Velkhana. His fireball doesnt do much, none of his attacks do much really vs my tank IG build (1100+ defense, 20+ element resist on all), even when angry.

Tempered Velkhana significantly packs more punch, on angry state he can really threaten the same build, one ice breath cannon attack can take half my hp if divine blessing not activating. And that's already with 20+ ice resistance. Not to mention he has mechanic where he set up ice walls that can disrupt movement and vision, and blow ice breath from behind it. Cheeky.

As it stands now I give more respect to Temp Velkhana and not really respecting Temp Azure lol I will do my standard run and gun setup against Temp Azure, paying little attention to what he is doing xD

Maybe you ate element resist L when fighting Temp Velkhana and not vs Temp Azure? That would explain the difference. Or Maybe you took the ice breath atttack with divine blessing activating, so it didnt seem much.

its called azure cancerlos for a reason. most flyers are a pain in the ass now as a melee player. the flash nerf was overboard clearly. it should atleast still force em to land everytime atleast. and azure is one of the worst offenders when it comes to flyers. shrieking beeing a close 2nd aswell.

Rathalos is one of the hardest monsters in the game now, not because of actual difficulty, but because more than one flash pod is useless and Rathalos stays in the air pretty much all the time.

How is Kushala not here as the 2nd worst? Shriek frequently lands after attacks, I can barely even tell the difference from normal Legiana.

it depends on weapon you use. for alot of weapons shrieking is cancer as kush stays in place way longer than him. the only annoying part about kush is the flying. but he is way less aggresive than shrieking cancer. plus cancerblight = the worst ♥♥♥♥. kush doesnt have blights at all.
