Crashing

So I just enter the special quest and encounter with rajang and then the game crashed? after restart it says DX12 can't be enabled switch to DX11, anybody have similar problems?

right, I'm using 5700XT, I rolled back my driver from 20.1.3 to 19.12.2, haven't try yet

I put the temp. limt. of the GPU to 67°C, gonna try tomorrow

Seems the issue from launch has comeback. Try disabling the HD texture dlc, then launch the game. Also add the MHW game folder as an exception in whatever firewall software you have. I just hope they fix this soon so we don't have to keep playing with "gimped" settings :/

Did it work or not? Because I'm very desperate, I can't even play the game. It crashes every time I cap a monster. Before Iceborne, the game was working fine but now it became unplayable

I added it to exception list, didn't use HD pack, but it still crashes

Try to disable High Resolution Texture Pack (this worked for me) and don't make ANY graphic change in game (i just tried to up ambient occlusion and got the famous crash.

OK, roll back the driver seems work for me for now, the game tends to crash when I play with other players.

Alright, I was wrong, the game crashed again, it seems isn't because of the driver, because the old driver never crashes before the update

Err 12 cant be overheat, my GPU was a constant 50 to 54c when I play mhw, it has something to do with dx 12.

This reminds me of how gta 5 doesn’t like some
Factory overclocks.

I was getting error 12 , lowered my clock offset 5mhz and haven’t had an error12 in a week.

Just cause it’s a factory overclock doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Set your card to Nvidia specs and see if it crashes.

I had my card running at 2075 and now it’s floatinf around 2050-2075 and is completely stable.
