Kirin Azure Horn not dropping?

I've hunted HR kirins over 10 times now, and not a single time have I received a Kirin Azure Horn, even though I have broken the horn each time (and carved too, obviously). I don't get it in a carve, don't get it in rewards, don't get it in bonus rewards and not in investigation rewards either. I'm at my wits end! Is it really just bad luck? Is there something I'm not doing right? I've done it both solo and multiplayer, and still hasn't given me any. I also fought it multiple times with the entire Gala outfit, and still nothing.

I heard it was such a good drop too, that everyone usually got 1 - 2 every time they broke the horn. On the wiki it's an 80% chance, and on the ecologist guy, its a 3 star drop. What am I doing wrong?? (If you can't tell, I'm really frustrated about this.)

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated, cheers.

Break the face and do investigations that have silver and gold. That's the best you can do with rng being what it is. Needing 10 to upgrade a weapon into iceborne tier was suffering.

I feel you man. I still have PTSD from trying to get majestic horns from diablos.

Why can't I hold all these Twisted Horns?

I got them in Master Rank from guiding lands, and its TEMPERED kirin. Not regular

One hunt got me about 10

Its jsut MR kirin in general if thats the case, or it do say Tempered Azure Horn.

The experience of insanely great RNG to immensely bad RNG has always been part of the charm that is the game of Monster Hunter.

That being said though, you just have to be persistent. You can try to do Investigation Quests with Gold Rewards to increase your chances, it's what I did when I was farming for Teostra Gems . I used Gala Armor for Majestic Horn farms too but sometimes I didn't get any so you can see where RNG is playing its part.

I'm on the opposite spectrum, I have more than a few teostra gems. RNG is really good or bad, huh. Thanks for your suggestion! I have done investigations with gold rewards so I'll just keep trying, but I'm getting the tilt hard.

If only trading was a thing in MHW haha, I got a bunch of Azure horns here that I would trade for those Gems in a heartbeat. And no problem, patience is the key.

Azure horn+ is from MR Kirin
Solemn Azure Horn is GL Kirin
Tempered Azure Horn is GL Tempered Kirin

Not sure why people are saying to go to the guiding lands, OP needs HR mats not GL drops.

Thanks for the clarification, it just really seems like the RNG isn't with me for this one.
