Make gold rathian appear

So i leveled the grinding lands to 6 and still havent found gold rathian. I go on a expedition and then directly from lets say forrest to dessert. I check every time for the ??? at the grinding lands but nothing happens. Do I have to go back to Seliana every time or is it just an extremely low chance of spawning the gold rathian?

It's just a low chance to spawn. Keep doing what you're doing.

yes is low chance to appear, is RNG thingy. sometime it appear 3x too.

just hop in on some one guiding land session with wildspire lv7, ask them to lure gold rath.
once you spot it, you can search sos for gold rathian, it's gonna saves you lot's of time.

What Suzaku said. Both Golden and Silver Rath are uncommon so you have to be patient. If you're lucky, you may get lures for them and can simply lure them out.
Something to note too: Golden Rathian spawns AND ONLY FIGHTS in area 9. She will not move from there at any point. Same with Silver Rathalos, he only fights in area 11.

Get GL to Level 6... then she'll eventually spawn. If you're not in GL, look at the map and look for ??? monster in the list. That may be Gold Rathian unless you have level 6+ on other areas. Last solo option is to look for her footprint in Elder Recess.

Just search SOS for people with wildspire 6. Even better if they set Goldian as their target.

Lots of people need gold rath parts so there is usually luring going on.

But better lure them out at level 7 because the are tempered ;)

Need level 6 and above Wildspire Waste for Gold Rath to appear. Level 6 Coral Highlands for Silver Los. Level 6 Rotten Vale for Brute Tiggy. Level 6 Forest for Yian/Scarred Yian.

I see Gold Rath show up like once every few missions or so in my GL. Just do some quick delivery missions to refresh the place and it'll pop up.

I'm over MR 100 and I still need 1 surspike from her for the switch axe. It's so hard to get non-GL parts from her since I don't always get an arena for her and neither do I get investigations. I wish Capcom made it easier to get investigations for gold rathian but as it is right now, I'm gonna have to get arenas :P

I have 3 investigations for her, but they are always paired with seething Bazel for some reason. Makes it even more of a chore but at least it lowers her hp. I can post them later when I get home if you wanted to try for a surspike.
