Boaboa palico gadget quest

Anyone know what I'm missing here? Completed the monster hunt in an expedition, boaboa watched and told me to follow them to their camp, yadda yadda. They just kinda disappeared and couldn't really "follow" them anywhere, but my friend told me to just go to the hotspring left of the first camp. Did that, nothing there, took a wingdrake that I was also told to take, and nothing inside their camp. I don't know what I'm missing here.

Did you crawl through the tunnel at the back and dive through the water etc to get into their little cave? You should be able to talk to one of the Boaboa. After that, head back to camp and talk to your Palico, or back to your private room and talk to your Palico.

I did. There was no boaboas in there.

Hmm, when you said 'not immediately', did you by chance return to town or something after killing the Beotodus, then went back?

I killed a viper kadachi. I loitered around in the area for a bit trying to figure out where they went before just fast traveling to camp 1.

I killed a viper kadachi. I loitered around in the area for a bit trying to figure out where they went before just fast traveling to camp 1.

In that case they may still be out there somewhere. You need to follow behind them, then when they reach the hotsprings to the south west they tell you to use the Cortos to get to their lair etc. If you're unable to find them in the reach then you may have to leave and try the entire process again (aka hunt a Beotodus etc.)

I believe also this, you might just need to start over again too if you can't find them sorry bud

Can't find them in thee area or anywhere in general, so I don't know how I'm going to be able to start it over.
