How to farm for Master Rank Threat level 2 Tempered Investigations?

Is there a way to farm for these things? I'm MR 61 and still haven't gotten a single one.

Go into guiding lands and follow T2 tempered monsters around and pick up their tracks. I believe odogaron doesnt aggro unless you attack it. Here's a list:

Elders recess is decent I farm it for G/S raths investigations and pretty sure I got some T2 there

I only see threat level 1 tracks on expeditions.

Get your Master Rank up.
At certain level increments, it will stop increasing and the guy back in the snowy town will have a new quest for you that involves hunting Tempered monsters.
Completing that quest unlocks your MR again and introduces Tempered tracks of that level to expeditions.
By the time you get to MR100 and complete the last of these quests, you'll have all threat levels of Tempered monsters unlocked.

In either case, the best way to raise MR AND to get more tempered investigations is by raising the level of areas in the Guiding Lands and following around the Tempered monsters that appear there (they show up a lot at level 6 or 7 for a given area).

I think you need to reach MR70 for T2 tempered monsters to show up, given I'm pretty sure the targets of the MR69 locked quest are T2s.

can you repeat the quests for the mantles ?
wasn't there a black diablos and a temp barioth which could be followed for some tracks while having felyne researcher foodskill for extra investigations

optionals like 3star
proud white knight (temp barioth) or nasty flash wound (temp ordo)
4star
piercing black (temp black diablos)

I'll most likely heavily avoid T3's. I didn't enjoy them in HR and just did my deco farming on T2's and the greatest jagras. I'm hoping you can get everything from T2's. I'm ok with a lower drop rate on the rarest stuff if it means more enjoyable fights.

I'd recommend using the guidng lands.

Find a suitable tempered T2 monster, preferably one that leaves a lot of tracks and follow it as it walks around the map. Use your ghillie mantle to prevent the monster from attacking you.
Anjanath and Narcaguga for example leave a lot of tracks and are both tier 2 monsters so those would be very suitable.
