Or you can deco snipe. Save and back up save. The melding list is fixed, but it will move forward down the list and generate more if you do quests. So you save and back it up, meld as much as you can. If you get what you want, save. If not, restore backup and play quests for a while then do the same again.
This, however, work only before you have Iceborne. I'm not sure if this has been patched over.
steamworks takes aeons to burn through the fuel
if you want it fast and easy simply cheat
all item shop mod or cheat engine
use them in steamwork for silver ticket (simply hold space and let it run)
craft gems using ticket
easy, fast, high chance getting what you want
Wrong category of melding. It's the one furthest down.
So far, 3 x Tenderizer / Vitality 4 and a lot of Critical / <stuff> 4s and a few Critical 4s for a few hours 'work'. Then I toss the unwanted ones to the melder. A pity you need to run around in Guiding Lands to be able to meld the highest tier ones.
