[Guiding Lands] Gold Rathian

Ok, so finally got my Guiding Lands Wildspire to level 6. But i've yet too see this guy. I've taken to in-between each hunt check out what monster are currently in my Guiding Lands but i've never seen him or Ruiner Nergy (who also should start appearing at lvl 6).

My Ancient Forest is also lvl 6 and i got Scarred Yian Garuga showing up quite often. So he seems to be fine. (He's the unique one for Ancient Forest at lvl 6 from what i've understood)

So now i'm curious when you open your map and browse which monsters are in each locale, without ever having seen the Gold Rathian before, would i see him pop up in the list of monsters for my Guiding Lands?

I'm starting to think he might not be showing because sometimes i see only 2 monsters in my Guiding Lands and the 3 slot just shows "- - - -". Could it be that it signifies a "unkown" monster in the locale?

lol if it shows ??? it means its a monster you have never seen. Probably your golden rathian which is a she by the way.

Edit: Sometimes there are only two monsters and the third spot is indeed just.. empty. You did it right. It's all rng. At one point you will get her.

keep switching between expeditions, check the map every time until you find ??? monster appear on the Guiding Land map

Ruiner start appears in GL at lv7 (MR100), and also the gold and silver bois will appear more often at 7

Ok, thanks i'll just keep on checking in between all my hunts. Just felt like the damn Scarred Yian Garuga was showing up quite frequently i thought Gold Rathian would have about the same spawn rate.

Gold Rathian appears in Wildspare Waste, Silver Rathalos in Coral and both in level 6 each. If is showing "???", is a monsters that you dont hunt yet. But when a Elder Dragon is on the map, one additional slot is used by him.

scarred yian garuga is just the tempered version of the normal yian garuga. that's why that guy shows up more frequently. if there are only two monsters in a region, that's because one of them is an elder dragon. they always take up 2 of the 3 available slots.

I have had level 7 coral and wildspire for a long time. Loads of Gold we have killed always in wildspire, never coral.
Maybe try just keep departing to GL and exit untill you get a ???? monster.

Because rathian is female so people should address it properly .

Just switch expeditions between coral highlands and elder's recess. You can check the map to see which monsters are in guiding lands. If it shows one as ???, then it's one you've never seen and likely the gold rathian.
Took about half an hour for me.
Remember to capture it to unlock it in the arena.

You can't take quests that you have not discovered monsters, unless storyline.

Have you even gotten to GL yourself? This is how you discover new monsters in the Guiding Lands, you don't get a quest associated to hunt them first so they just show up as ???

This is also how you get the special arena, I don't understand what you mean by what you said.
