Does Stun count as an "abnormal status effect?"

If so, there's hardly any reason not to be using this alongside the glider mantle for general quests... It covers almost everything.

You probably still want rocksteady or temporal as one of your mantles so you can brute force a claw attack, and using immunity as your second isn't terrible but there are better options.

Immunity should really be reserved for Elders or Large monsters that love to just inflict status effects on you nonstop. While stun resist is great, you can generally get by with just one stun resist gem as it cuts your stun time by over half.

can agree with temporal helping, but the issue is the slots too. Immunity has a Lvl 3/2, so it can fit some more interesting skills.

I've seen way too many chain-hit deaths to ever use the rocksteady mantle...

I personally would prefer full stun immunity vs the most dangerous monsters. Unless they kill you from 200 health with 1 hit, stun immunity guarantee you can get out and heal up, active at all times. I learned that -90% stun duration is just not enough on some cases. 1 level 4 deco and 1 level 1 deco is a cheap price for salvation.

You can't proc coalescence if you can't get affected. It's almost a free massive boost considering how often anyone gets hit by a status effect.

Stun counts in the skill Coalescent, but not with the Immunity Mantle
