Early Insect Glaive Build
Hello, i got monster hunter recentelly with the new year promos and im really enjoying it! But when it comes to equippment and weapons stats i get lost. Its too much to do and too mutch stats! I cant understand everything (bearley understanding a thing). To get over it and try to understand the game system better i was looking for some bulds and tips for the weapon i choosed, the insect glaive. I really liked its playstyle over the other weapons. When i try to look for a guide or something i just get late game builds and stuffs (there's even a guide thats recommends Catastrophe’s Light and Pseudocath for the early builds, i got confused on that cuz those need late game monsters parts). So im here to ask for a good soul to help me out on my journey on understanding the game better and find a good starting build. Right now im with the guardian armor, the kulu glaive and the standard kinsect lvl 3. There's some armour or glaive that i should look for? Or i should look for armors with specific stats?

Thanks for your attention!

Heyo! Just adding in my two cents

While I'm still new to MH World myself, I've been playing the games since Tri and have been an insect glaive main since it was introduced in 4 so I've gotten lots of time to learn about it :>

So just to add a couple tips to help your experience with the glaive:

Thanks for the tips!! I've just got the Windchopper kinsect! Its speed is dope! Way better than the slow other one! I also find very fun to extract monster essence with my kinsect, and im learning how to be effective with that. Your tips are going to help me improve it. I love mount monsters, so im going to use my arial attacks a little XD (not complaining, they are so Fricking cool)

Thanks a lot for leaving this helpful comment!!!

My thoughts on IG is that it doesn't depends too heavily on armor skills. However, IG's fast attack rate eats through its sharpness quickly, so Speed Sharpening can reduce a lot of downtime.
