normal food voucher = 100% food buff activation
gourmet food voucher = all ingredients are fresh + 100% food buff activation

you also "pay" the food for other in the session

The white one gave you a decent chance to trigger food skills. I don't know exactly how it worked.

The gold one gives you pretty much a 100% chance to trigger it by making like every single ingredient fresh.

If you don't know about food skills, you can combine certain food groups in amounts of 2, 4 and 6 and you'll trigger certain food skills.

Popular ones include Moxie, Safeguard and Zoomaster, etc. When you use a voucher it is used for an entire session, too!

white voucher also gives you 100%, just doesn't make ingredients fresh, so you have no HP boost if you don't use fresh ingredients

Voucher gives you 100% skills activations even if the ingredients are not fresh, tho it might not give you +50hp.

Gourmet Voucher gives you 100% skills activations and max up health.

Makes sense, actually. Thanks! I shall remember.

I also remember the fat guy Fiver Bro claiming all our ingredient deliveries were done by him, netting him a lifetime supply of meal vouchers. What a chump!

I'd like a lifetime supply of meal vouchers

Yeah, me too xD The Fiver Bro is definitely not an actual bro.

I'm sad he didn't show up in the Iceborne DLC. He would have made the perfect partner for The Handler. Rather than her being weirdly obsessed / attached to some random old Tracker woman, she could have simply fallen head over heels in love with Fiver Bro (or rather, his unlimited access to the best food the base had to offer) and simply left.

Leaving the Meowscular Chef (or better yet, the Admiral himself) to pick up the slack and become your new Handler.

Now that'd be DLC worth paying for!

Meh, I don't hate her. She's your typical anime girl, nothing more, nothing less.

Has anybody else never used a single meal voucher in their entire MHW life?

Just me? Okay.....

I mean, they are great when you're huntin in a group because everybody eats for free

Hey I used the basic one to eat for Moxie that one time..

And I used lots of them when doing Kulve Taroth just to be nice, even though people were probably just chowing down the chef's choice one or whatever it's called.

Now Safeguard and Zoomaster is a thing though, I've started bothering with them a lot more...but yeah, I'm so used to simply popping a max potion I never really consider the need for fresh ingredients for that +50 HP, etc.

When you see someone using a voucher in a mission, and then someone else mocks them for being poor and needing to use coupons and stuff it's pretty funny though,

Sounds funny xD Vouchers also have become much more obtainable with DLC thanks to the steamworks.

For sure they have indeed. Before you could farm them from that one quest "Greeting the Gluttons" or by late joining a quest that offered no rewards I think, plus the arena? and of course the Argosy. They weren't that easy to get a hold of, anyway. Probably discouraged people from using them even more, actually.

If there's anything good about the Steamworks, it's definitely that it provides vouchers reliably and consistently, lol. Especially right now, it's spitting out golden ones like no tomorrow (unless it already did in which case, yay)
