That's what I was thinking was gonna happen. Lately the community has been full of nothing but whiners when it comes to MHW, I'm sure people are gonna flip their ♥♥♥♥ about the rename and say stupid things like "BUT IT'S NOT TRUE G RANK EEEEE"
the reasons why i think so is because MHW is bigger(in terms of data size) and more demanding than previous game so they probably can't afford to split the team into 2 like they did in the past, monster hunter is a game that is released annually so instead of releasing 1 mainline game,1 major expansions and 1 spinoff game per generation they probably will change it to 1 mainline game and 2 major expansions instead
