One shot by Tempered Kushala Daora

Using longsword, have 150hp and 445 defense.

Doing with 3 reward slot Tempered Kushala Daora

Just oneshot by his normal wind blast ( not the big type).
And his jump attack hit me about 130 hp.

Is that normal ?.?

Factor in resistances.

Perhaps you had negative resistance to the element of that particular attack?

I got one shot by an Azure Rathalos once.
Countless times by Teostra when playing with bow.

Kushala uses no element (unless if you count Wind, but it aint an official element) Her breath only inflicts ice damage/blight when fighting on ice maps, which doesnt exist in World, yet.

I kinda hate the fact that they still put Ice attack in certain Kush armor pieces. Makes some people confused

As a LS main, dont ever stay directly in front of him. When running away to heal, always run perpendicular to her when shes facing you. (To her left, or right side so that giant wind blast wont hit you, most other frontal attacks) Honestly, this is just a muscle memory that I pretty much employ on all of my hunts.

Though your defense is just reaching the end game point. Is ALL of your armor augmented and upgraded? Which LS do you use? (My least defensive build has about 455, thats with styx's sword) My builds with divine slasher usually average around 480-500. I never get one shot by any monster that isnt AT Kirin.

You ended up fighting a Kush that had a higher attack modifier. It happens.

thx. yes it's almotst upgraded. Just pushed down by his wind armour and took hit :P

I'm using nergigante head, Taroth chest, Teostra hands, nergigante belt and leg.
Weapon is Extermination's Edge.

Weirdly I'm doing Tempered kirin (with 5 slots reward), his normal lighting only hit about 110 hp.

And I stack hp to 200, Kushala Daora's wind blast hit about 175 hp.

At that point then, you need to work on dodges. Take out those HP boost skills, throw on some damage boosters, and learn how to dodge well.

investigation monsters have varying stats and with tempered it can be pretty noticable.
i have the worst luck with tempered teostra where many times he hits so hard just his hop forward oneshots me even with maxed defense when normally it only does 1/2 - 1/3.

Ya, I used to use all damage skil. But now just lack of decors. (this character is an alt )
So I put 3 hp boost to see how much damage I would take.

Power up your defense with mega armor skin and pop an adament seed for extra defense. With close to 500 u should not be one shot (other than the power up blast).
