What's the best way to get Rathalos coins, Ace Hunter coins, etc...
These fights are really challenging and take a long time, even when I think I'm doing pretty well... what's the best way to get these items? I'm trying to make that paralysis hammer.

Thanks for your time.

Rathalos coins, if solo, go hammer and use the slope, only flash when in air. (If possible go with someone else)

Ace hunter coins suggestion is lance, GL, or SnS, as u can block the moves of both blos, of course, go with another person if possible again.
Dont remember the other one of ace hunter coins

They are geared towards 2 players. Find a hunting buddy for the arena.

But honestly the dual Diablos quest with the lance set is about a 8-10 minute fight. Just keep block up and Poke Upwards once or twice when you get a moment.

For Azure Rathalos, i prefer the Dual Blades or SnS setup. You have so many flash pods and bombs to help speed up the fight. For DB fight near the alope and you can just keep using the slode attack to wreck Rath quick.

A neat tip if you decide to farm the Azure Rathalos: you can ground him when he lands from the air by flinching him with a pod.

Thanks for the help guys. Sadly I don't have any friends to run the arena with, but I will take these tips in mind.

You should be playing them with a partner on voice coms.

Most of the weapons and gear are designed to be taken as a pair. As an example one of you might have sleep knives and the other bombs.

Generally speaking the arena is pretty stupid and no one wants to do it. I would have a completely different opinion if there were an option to scale up the encounter using realistic armor that people actually use. Overall that defeats the purpose as the design is extreme minimalism.

I play lance (retired from playing bow) and nothing else. Thats the weapon I have fun playing. Many of the fights dont feature a lance so I am forced to go back to bow. In order to make the arena easy you pretty much need to find someone who plays the matching weapon for the random as **** gear they give you to use. For example in the Rathalos fight I use the bow and my friend pulled out the hunting horn. If I recall that matched ok... not perfect but it worked. And then he wanted to play bow too. That did not work in part because he had no knowledge of the bow while I have used it in about 800 fights.

A number of people just get the coins from the nexus mod that features every item in the game at the item shop. If you dont have regular friends that play MHW then you should probably do that. The other problem with the arena is that you only need coins to make stuff once. So you need to find a partner who:

1) matches your play time
2) matches languages you speak
3) needs the same fights
4) plays the matching weapon to what you want to play
5) is good enough to win with the randomly terrible gear they give you
6) needs exactly the same fights as you

I was slightly lucky in that I can play my favorite weapon for some of the more difficult fights vs Diablos. They take a long time solo but you can do it. And that is another "fine" point... unlike regular solo play the arena always balances the health out as if you had two players.

Oh very cool. I’ve yet to see someone with the binder mace. I would make it myself but too lazy to go to workshop so I’m just using pandemonium’s root and taroth hammer sleep.

Rathalos + Tzitzi (for Rath Coins) or Tempered Bazel + Tempered Uragaan (for Ace Hunter Coins) challenge missions, which are sadly timed events. The Rathalos + Tzitzi mission is extremely easy and you shouldn't have much trouble with it (they go down very quickly with the charge blade, and I don't even know how to use that weapon efficiently), for the Bazel + Uragaan mission I recommend taking the LBG and letting the Bazel whack the Uragaan.

The Weekly Arena Challenges can give a variety of coins as well.

Whenever I need coins, I filter search session by areana. Usually there's at least one mostly full room. Load up the quest you want and wait a bit. I've never gone more than 10 minutes without snagging a random, and once you do, they'll likely stick it out with you until they also get the coins they need
