But honestly the dual Diablos quest with the lance set is about a 8-10 minute fight. Just keep block up and Poke Upwards once or twice when you get a moment.
For Azure Rathalos, i prefer the Dual Blades or SnS setup. You have so many flash pods and bombs to help speed up the fight. For DB fight near the alope and you can just keep using the slode attack to wreck Rath quick.
Ace hunter coins suggestion is lance, GL, or SnS, as u can block the moves of both blos, of course, go with another person if possible again.
Dont remember the other one of ace hunter coins
Most of the weapons and gear are designed to be taken as a pair. As an example one of you might have sleep knives and the other bombs.
Generally speaking the arena is pretty stupid and no one wants to do it. I would have a completely different opinion if there were an option to scale up the encounter using realistic armor that people actually use. Overall that defeats the purpose as the design is extreme minimalism.
I play lance (retired from playing bow) and nothing else. Thats the weapon I have fun playing. Many of the fights dont feature a lance so I am forced to go back to bow. In order to make the arena easy you pretty much need to find someone who plays the matching weapon for the random as **** gear they give you to use. For example in the Rathalos fight I use the bow and my friend pulled out the hunting horn. If I recall that matched ok... not perfect but it worked. And then he wanted to play bow too. That did not work in part because he had no knowledge of the bow while I have used it in about 800 fights.
A number of people just get the coins from the nexus mod that features every item in the game at the item shop. If you dont have regular friends that play MHW then you should probably do that. The other problem with the arena is that you only need coins to make stuff once. So you need to find a partner who:
1) matches your play time
2) matches languages you speak
3) needs the same fights
4) plays the matching weapon to what you want to play
5) is good enough to win with the randomly terrible gear they give you
6) needs exactly the same fights as you
I was slightly lucky in that I can play my favorite weapon for some of the more difficult fights vs Diablos. They take a long time solo but you can do it. And that is another "fine" point... unlike regular solo play the arena always balances the health out as if you had two players.
