Armor for Heavy Bowgun
Wondering what is a good armor for the HBG. Something around Odogaron, but not that armor set. Thanks!

3 pices of xeno + 2 of your choice for the most HBGs

The 1st one doesn't have 100% affinity. It would be running 71% and only when hitting a weakpoint.....

Edit forgot the 5% affinity from Attack boost

really depends ont eh type of HBG you plan to run.

if your running any kind of damage bullet type (norm, pierce, spread) as your main damage dealer, then going for something that'll boost affinity and damage is adviseable.

if your planning on your main damage source being sticky shot, artillery and special shot skills are both good to have.

once you've completed the main story, something like the helm, waist and boots of Xeno armor will give you spare shot, which for any HBG build is super useful, then rather than reload speed your gearing for lower recoil.

you could even build my early KO set thats pretty fun to use.

Bazel Helm Beta
Diablos Chest Beta
Bazel Gloves (not super important but it finishes off earplugs and gives Guts, early on useful.)
Bazel Waist Beta
Black Diablos Boots Beta (for normal shot up and to give bludgeoner.)

fun fact for HBG, its melee swing hits very hard, and with bludgeoner and 2 points of KO, after dumping your mag of sticky shot at the target and flinching it, could jsut be what you need to send them over onto the ground. it feels good and is a lot of fun. this style of play also keeps you in range for your normal shot and makes your melee swing useful for when your lazy and dont feel like reloading.

the set is by no means easy to make, and just about as easy to learn how to play it. but it can definently last you till the end of the story.

suggested weapon would be the Zorah HBG or the deviljho HBG. both have good sticky shot pools as well as other shot types to use. both also have a high raw power at the cost of negative affinty. something sticky shot never has to worry about. or clust or anything that kabooms.

yeah but on a sticky shot heavy setup, that gauge charges quick so you'll get good use out of it. wyvernheart and wyvern snipe both work great with it.

other benefit to this build, pretty much any ranged weapon can utilize it to some extent. though for bow you'd swap the artillery charm out for something more applicable.

Thanks for the help guys! I'll try out the Xeno armor when I get it and the bludgeoning build aswell! They both sound fun too. I'm just trying to get a really high "Sniper build, like something that does massive damage to almost any monster in a few shots. I understand that it may have significant drawbacks, but I was wondering if there is any build of the sorts.
