I do something like this: https://i.imgur.com/QJ7qjwM.jpg
The 2 empty slots there you can basically put whatever you want and still have a good build. I personally do another attack jewel and a handicraft jewel, but you don't need more attack to have a good working build. In fact, you don't really even need two attack jewels if you don't have more than the one they give you. If you had a mighty jewel for a little bit of maximum might, that would work well in one of those slots.
Using Athena's Armor Set Search is also really helpful.
You can get it here: https://monsterhunter.fandom.com/wiki/Athenas_Armor_Set_Search
or from the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AthenasArmorSetSearch/
If you take the time to set up your jewels in there, it's a really nice tool for making builds based on the jewels you have on you.
