If your friends told you the game is like Dark souls they straight up lied. Dark souls took a lot from Monster Hunter bro.
ok. but where is epic gamer parry
Also i may be wrong but im preaty sure you cant parry giant monsters and dragons in Dark Souls and mosnter hunter is basicly 99% giant monsters and dragons.
I don't know why, but this spoke to me on a personal level.
No move sets or stances, no two handing 1 handed weapons etc. But what the game does have is pretty cool street fighter style combo system, that encorperates a bunch of other mechanics that make combat interesting.
It is easier, and you fail a combo by tapping one of two wrong button, it wil just act as if you pressed the right buttons to finish the combo. Stuff like that.
But it is challangeing. It's a lot of timing and positioning.
At first it seems like it's a lot of tapping the same button, but they encorperate button holds which change attacks, and it's about stringing those attacks together while not leaving yourself open.
You have a myriad of other tools like traps, and your slinger. There's way more virticality to fights.
As someone who was super sceptical, it is a very cool game, and deserves it's praise.
As a DS fan, it's no Dark Souls. But definitely a great game in it's own right.
buwhahaha'
