For proper Glaive usage the three meta choices are Diablos, Jho and Cane Ruin. Just take 4 drachen pieces and reach 50% affinity without WEX. Ruin is stronger than Jho with peak active so if you are reliably not getting hit its the strongest glaive apart from the Diablos, but it only reaches 100% affinity if you sacrifice health augment and even then youre sitting at 10 measly hits white sharpness. In reality you wont use the Diablos Glaive often, just take Ruin or Jho. Additionally, against Teo and upcoming AT Teo Taroth Water R8 is the best by far.

Even against things like Rathalos that are very weak to dragon, Grunge Storm (deviljho) still beats out True Gae Bolg. Only by a couple of points of damage per hit, but Grunge Storm is easier to use anyway with better sharpness.

Diablos has the highest raw attack. And the only one that can get a free 10% boost using elementless. White sharpness is a meme. It's raw attack is too high for white sharpness to matter. Same with master's touch, since the moment you hit a non-crit with jho, that white sharpness is gone, making even weaker than before.

With Jho you can run ~30 hits of white comfortably, so it's not that bad. With Gae Bolg you need 4 Handicraft just to get to 10 hits, which is definitely meme territory.

Jho on white sharpness hits harder than Blos on blue sharpness with the raw alone. And Jho doesn't even have to sacrifice health augment to get 100% affinity.

You will most likely use Gae Bolg against AT Xeno, since high elemental is what matters the most for Elemental Airborne.

AT Xeno killtimes for solo Glaive still are roughly 30% faster with grounded play instead of aerial focused gameplay. Getting into bad habits because it is easier to just buttonmash the wings doesnt mean youll grow as a player. Also youre more likely to get hit in the air regardless of the monster youre fighting. OP wanted to know the best Glaive, so Im presuming he plays Glaive the proper way because otherwise asking for meta sets is redundant, since aerials do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ damage. Note that im not telling people to stop having fun, im merely stating the facts and mean no offense/criticism to anyone :)

No offense but nobody gives a sh*t about good habits or perfect clear times. Aerial IG is easy and no stress against AT Xeno as you can tear through his body without getting hit and totally ignore his lava floor. On monsters with weak spots that are hard to reach while on the ground (see Luna or Kulve) aerial IG is more than legit.
Capcom went out of the way to add a new set bonus that is explicitly made to increase aerial damage on IG, so there's absolutely nothing wrong in making use of it with an optimized build. If you don't like the idea of aerial IG you can just go back to MH4.

The new glaive isnt that great, but the new Kinsect can arguably be one of the best; True Dragon Soul has high dragon element, and you can apply blast powder, making it a good choice for elder dragons and any other monster weak to dragon element

Kinsects never have innate elements and they always have the same elemental value regardless of the element you choose (TDS doesn't even have the highest one). Why you keep repeating this in every thread?
