I brought this up basically when the game came out, here on PC. Sometimes, seems to really only happen with other people in the game, you just die and you don't know why. Nothing hit you, but you die. Other times I've noticed moves that ordinarily do very very little damage, do insane amounts of damage.
It was rare and I haven't really noticed it happening since I started playing again, so figured whatever was causing it was fixed.
that somehow really sounds like you were lagging, you were moving on your end but the game/server didnt got the info anymore that you were moving, so you got it, and when your connection all catched up again you died by just standing on your end.
that would be my only possible or logical explanation to it....
the same for example happens in rocket league, in the moment where you timeout or lag, you can still play the ball and shoot a goal, and all of a sudden the ball snaps away from you and bang you got scored on even though youre on the other end of the field and had the ball
I noticed it back then on most of the monsters that have a lot of particle effects. Which is why I figured it was a technical issue. Kush, Teost, Vaal. Rarely I would notice it on other monstes, but it was less rare on the ones with lots of particles.
