That's more Minecraft's thing.
idk about tri, but trying to call MH world a sandbox is like trying to call Metal Gear Solid a FPS
IMO
Also, @OP, mods like that do exist, but only for yourself. And another thing, this is NOT a JRPG in ANY way, since there are barely any RPG-elements to begin with...
Learn words before trying to use them.
EDIT @OP: Also, no, NO part of it is anything sandbox. LEARN WORDS BEFORE TRYING TO USE THEM. And learn that you too make mistakes. And opinions aren't opinions if they're simply false stuff. That's just being misinformed/spewing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, depending on the case.
No need to be rude, chill out.....
Also, I think op means how on the maps its all open world with no loading screens which is kinda like a sandbox
OP go to nexus mods there's a few hair mods in there but its not all new hair just longer version of existing hair
And I'm more chill than it proabably seems, since any use of caps is for accentuation only.
Looked around for a definition that's somewhat sensible and is of what I for years have seen as the genereal consensus on "sandbox" as a game genre/element: "A sandbox is a style of game in which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and change a virtual world at will. In contrast to a progression-style game, a sandbox game emphasizes roaming and allows a gamer to select tasks. Instead of featuring segmented areas or numbered levels, a sandbox game usually occurs in a “world” to which the gamer has full access from start to finish."
Sure, not all of this has to be enforced and definitely not to an extremely high degree, like that implies. Would say the first sentence is pretty much the core already, through "at will" of course usually still has limitations...but there is nothing sandboxy in MHW.
And the "no loading screens"(except MHW still has a load of them when changing where you are; just not on a single map that's small compared to any open world game; sandbox or not) isn't really needed for open world nor sandbox per se. I mean, if there is ANY transition anywhere, it wouldn't be open world by that definition, and well...I've seen the Batman Arkham-games cited as open world(safe for the first). Yet, there are a load of transitions there. Just as a random example of the top of my head.
Combat my opinion however you will, if anything, I'm looking forward to you changing my opinion. No sarcasm, honestly.
Oh, also, not really meaning anything I wrote as negative to any game I wrote about. Just saying.
also MHW won rpg game of the year at the game awards which I thought was kinda odd to categorize it as a rpg cause in my head I see rpg as something entirely different from what MHW is but whatever, I'm just glad they actually won something
And also kinda see where you're coming from, but i think we got somewhat different interpretations of what OP was trying to say in that kinda bad English. Don't mean stuff like that as an insult when it's a fact, just saying. Nobody's perfect and all that. To me, the last post by OP looked to me like he tried to go the "it's my opinion, so I can't be wrong"-route, which people usually use when they don't want to admit the possibility of them being wrong about something. Again, might be wrong interpretation by me, but well...not writing much + not good writing makes it difficult to be sure.
