Why does one have to set party size before EVERY quest???
Trying to play the game solo and in a private session, why does one have to set amount of players before every quest? It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying have to set it to 1 every time even though the game session is private and you want to have a singleplayer experience.

Why are the devs so incapable of implementing a proper offline/singleplayer mode when so many gamers are asking for it?

This complaint is stupid enough I'd expect this to be a Ciara post.

Eeehm, if you're in a private lobby there's no need to set the party size.

Then why does it ask for how many players every time a new quest is started? If the game is set to a private session it shouldnt come up in the first place.

In case you use a SOS flare, or there are other players in your private session.

Because you can still invite people to a private session, genius.

The game is always online even in a private session and you'll need to set a party size because you still have the option to SOS.
It goes offline if you DC or start offline in steam, in which you wont have to set a party size limit.

Yeah my point is that's not how it should be... when I start a private session it should automatically put me offline and not ask for party size every time. If I wanted someone to join THEN I would change the settings... it's very tedious and destroys the immersion for anyone who doesn't want to play with other people.

Your still going? You were already told what you are doing is redundant if you are set to private. At this point the thread is done bud.

When setting up a session, you can decide to make it public or private. If it is set to private, nobody may join your session without an invite. When in a hunt, the only way players will see your hunt is if they are in your session, or if you send a SOS. With the ability to set how many players may join in a hunt, you can control how many other hunters may join you so you can keep unwanted numbers out if you're running with friends.

With this system, you allow players to control if they want people in their sessions or not, allow them to control if they want assistance in every individual hunt or not, and how much assistance they want. The game is effectively single-player unless the player makes a concience decision to allow otherwise; a flexible system that offers all options at all times.

In other words, the company DID implement a proper single-player mode. You're literally just too simple to know it. :steammocking:

I do get it and it has nothing do with being simple but my point is even if I dont have to set it every time, the window shouldn't even pop up.
I dont care if its effectively singleplayer, when I start a private session that means I want to be PRIVATE, no SOS, no help, no friends joining my hunts and I don't want to constantly be reminded of the multiplayer aspect by some stupif windows popping up.

Then unplug your router and the options won't show.

There's no pleasing some people.

If you're in a private session and dont want to SOS, then no one will join you anyways.
So you setting it every time to 1/1 is pretty much useless. Just leave party size to 1/4 and play normally as no one can join you.
Shouldn't be an issue as you literally only need to click "OK".
Umbral Priestess Dec 1, 2018 @ 8:35am
Wow, some people will find an issue out of anything, If you were on console, and don't have ps+, you'll be constantely greeted with the "you dont have ps+ so you can't play with others" message if you don't choose 1 only.

Take your victories where you can get them.
