Armor for hunter rank 14?
So I don't know what armor set to make, I now have from the chest up Zora and under that TziTzi-Ya-Ku amor. I have a feeling it is not good at al...... Also I am now using the great sword but I want to change to another weapon because I don't think it feels so good anymore, I want to try the CHARGE BLADE but which one should I make? If anyone has a suggestion for another weapon please tell me and also tell me which one to make.

Lol :) No biggie.

Okay, for charge blade, yeah, you're looking for raw damage and generally the impact phials are the better weapons, with deviljho being the only real exception.

Diablos tyranis is top of the line in terms of ones you can craft up without special events.

As for skills? Artillery boosts phial damage, and load up gives you an extra phial (which is more powerful than it might seem)... Boosting your affinity will help offset the tyranis' terrible negative affinity, and if you can get it above zero, start allowing some BIG numbers.

Personally, I -love- having white sharpness, but handicraft is difficult to slot in... So consider building a handicraft charm.

If you're looking for general purpose survivability armor? Val hazak with recovery and medicine goes a loooong way in most fights and accessorises well with most weapons... But you're probably still a few fights from meeting him.

Attack Boost, Focus, Weakness Exploit, Artillery, Handicraft, Maximum Might, Capacity Boost.

Those are skills that help for Charge Blade. So from what I can recall you can have those from Dober (chest and leggings), Damascus (chest and waist), Dragonking (headpiece), Kaiser (gauntlets), Death Stench (leggings), Nergigante (headpiece and leggings) and Dodogama (leggings iirc?).

HR odogaron is great for base game completion. (i used girros myself, fashion hunter) it gives just enough armor.

odogaron at least gives skills that are useful for most players, crit, quick sheath, etc. in base game completion you're not out looking for best in slot pieces, just enough total armor to not die.

keeping your weapon upgraded to the max is more important and in line with the 20min avg per kill.

------------------------------------------

at any point in time you can go to bounty board (the 3 people right in front of the astera main gate) and pick up all the green collection bounties. any reward will do. and just head into a low rank expedition (wildspire wastes is the best IMO)

no collection bounties? expedition -> retreat -> check bounty board again (60s cycles) and refresh the list until they're offered.

--------------------------------------------

i went bone -> LR legiana (free bonus loot with set) -> HR girros - > GG EZ

The recommended path is Zorah HR armor. It's a solid set stat wise to start the journey. Also because Zorah is super easy to farm in LR armor for HR mats.

If you feel brave and more skilled you can start hunting out the meta sets for your weapons. You can find all the non Elder Dragon monsters in expeditions.

I personally went and hunted HR Rathalos since I've fought him so many times over the years that it was easy with my Trusty Switch Ax to the Face technique.

While this was going on I also smashed out a few Tobi quests since Evade window and Extender are great skills for SA. This was harder but still a mangable with slower play, excessive heal item usage, eating for defence and the occasional camp zerg.

-----

But really in HR you should start putting together mixed sets that have skills you want for your weapon. It differs per weapon and it depends on how you play and what skills you want.

I think I can fight the Val Hazak, it is one of the 3 elder dragons after the nergigante. It will be very difficult and that is why I am asking for help ( so that i know what is best to craft for these fights)

Vaal is one of the easier dragons to fight. If you don't have effluvial resistance, then just remember to bring plenty of nulberries. His effluvial mist will periodically cut your health in half, so you need to cure the blight before healing it back up.

That's kind of the issue for us. You don't have access to everything, so we're not really able to give a decent recommendation.

Until you have that access, all you can really do is just cobble together whatever benefits your weapon or survivability, and upgrade your defense as far as you can.

Should i send a screenshot of what i can already get?

Try this set. It assumes you absolutely have no decos whatsoever

You have received the first decoration right after reaching high rank for the first time. You can put that in your armor to add the corresponding skill to your current build.

Yeah that's most likely the best build you can make for now for Charge Blade at your current level.

Should I make B or A because I have no decorations, I can maybe google how to get them but I wouldn’t know which ones to get. Also I have not seen the Kaiser armor or the Dodogama set.
