and i'm quite sure that rx480 is faster than 1050ti
he obviously can since he made this topic
Prebuilt usually cheap out on the power supply, definitely check that guy
I cleaned my pc a week ago, definitely get quieter and cooler when running this game
my guess the burning smell is the dust that has accumulated inside of your PC - this is normal don't be alarmed and it isn't capcom's fault nor is it steams fault, and it is not your fault either.
it is just simply the fact that your PC sucks in air constantly and dust just gets inside inevitably.
you should consider getting your PC serviced - if you have never done it yourself i don't recommend experimenting as its probably fillled with a thick layer of dust. PC components are some of the most advanced and ruggedized equipment on the planet, i hvae some stuff that has lasted 20 years without issue.
it's all a matter of maintenance. if you have the time and money it shouldnt cost more than 15-30 minutes of a professional technicicians time to open up your case and do a cleaning of your components . maybe a bit longer if you go fro a re-seating/greasing of your cpu/heatsink as well for good measure
reason i recommend getting a professional to do it is if they mess up your computer you will be covered. best bet is (i can' tbelieve im saying this) go to big box store where they have crazy insurance etc at least here in north america, best buy and frys (?? not sure about this) are the big ones
if you know how to do it yourself. buy yourselfl a tube of cpu grease, and a can of compressed air and make sure you are grounded. =\ total cost around 20-30 bucks which might end up being the same as having someone else do it for you. but without any of the assurance.
your pc components should run cold as possible
dust adds a layer of insulation and therefore traps energy and heat inside and intereres with the inflow outflow cooling system's efficiecny.
1. reduces component longevity through increased strress
2. treiggers some safety features to step down cpu / slow down gpu when temps reach a certain point
3. smells scary (burning smell is never good with computer equipment)
4. cooking cpu is hard to do they are crazy resilient -but cooking a GPU is super easy and the fans on them tend ot be garbgae and go first which makes the situation even worse.
