Now with Lunastra my pc is begging for mercy...
Do you think it might be a heating problem?
7300HQ is definitely on a laptop. I'm not sure, but it might be thermal issue that choking your CPU performance since mine running at over 90% load almost all the time. But i'm using fairly big HSF (cryorig H5) for my CPU.
Have you already tried fiddling with MHW graphic settings?
The Laptop?
Not trying to be a jerk. Laptops and "gaming" laptops aren't ever a good way to go. I understand it could have been the only thing you could afford but you could have built a desktop with a better processor for that price and still had room for a bit of a better graphics card.
Laptops don't ventilate properly in most cases and a lot of that heat is not transfered anywhere. Monster Hunter World is very heavy on CPU usage and your graphics card isn't picking up the slack because the game just doesn't use as much GPU to process what's going on your screen.
Maybe i can buy a cooling pad to put under the pc since it's black friday?
I think that'd help a bit, I don't think you'll get rid of the problem in it's entirety. 74 C is 165 F. 85 C is where your processors heat profile starts to go bad and can cause damage.
Not sure how long you've had it but if you do not have a warranty anymore, I'd suggest opening it up and making sure there's no dust anywhere that will stop airflow, in case. If it's not up, try buying that pad and also a can of air and give it a good cleaning to see how it goes.
If you can bring those temps down to 70, maybe 65 (wishful thinking) your laptop might handle it a bit better.
