I have over 400 hours on this game. had a good stable 60fps with ocasionally dropping to 55 the lowest. now i drop down to 40... don't know if i should still keep playing. this is BS

Its not about how long can your RAM last, its about what your RAM is. the requirement says 8GB and that's what you should after.

My gpu's vram is 6 , my pcs ram is 16gb.... Recommended v ram is 3gb, so i should have no problem running with my 6gb card

Only basic thing I can think of is to clean the inside of your pc if you havnt done so as dust will accumulate.

Maybe some settings you had off previously were turned on after the updates like vignette effects for example. Also updating to latest graphics driver is a performance drop so revert to 411.63 or 399.24. Some reports on reddit state that 399.24 has the best performance compared to drivers released after.

Whats your CPU spec?
A faulty CPU/ heatsink not installed or thermal paste not applied properly/ can cause performance issues
Or if you constantly update your GPU drivers,you might've installed an unstable build. There's been issues with nvidia drivers (bad profile kinda stuff) that causes performance issues for MHW to a lot of people. Try downgrading back to earlier version or delete the MHW profile using Nvidia Inspector
