Behemoth Comets
They're there to be protected not to protect you!

For some reason this actually needs to be pointed out to some people...

*EDIT* they are there to protect you, just not from regular attacks...

No they will not, specially in Extreme Behe. If you broke all and trigger Ecliptic Meteor get ready to jump.

This is why I don't care for mount cheese. Behemoth will plow into any comets dropped and if it goes too long, he may meteor without cometing.

It would work if mounters paid attention to where the comets were and we're ready to dismount at a moment's notice, but most of them just glaze over and let their little cousin play the minigame

Just learn how to time the jump. Once you get it down it's not hard.

thats why when i go to do a hunt that requires some amount of coordination and strategy, i dont team up with SoS flares or people who say nothing in chat.

The comets don't protect me? Wow I've been hiding behind them to avoid the e meteor!

Good to know I don't need to hide behind them!

my expierence comes from ps4, and it would always spawn one, even if we destroyed 4 of them at once

Yeah not how it works for extreme, even on ps4. For normal behemoth it does tho.

Haha now I read back I could've worded it better since it's whole reason is to protect you but I just wanted to get across that they need protecting. Done several fights tonight and some people seem to gather at the rocks, I guess they're pre-emptively standing there for the ec meteor? But it's so frustrating watching them crumble 1 by 1...
